HAVE MERCY: the beginning

HAVE MERCY: the beginning

hello to everyone out there in cyber land. i'd like to welcome you to my column, have mercy. chances are the term will not apply. i really can't say we'll have one major focus here, just some typical ranting from a semi-jaded 26 year old man living on the island of long. i can guarantee you that 99.999999% of my columns will be about my first love and yours...music. i will either be gushing over a new band or a re-discovered record, blah blah, but if i have something on the cranium, chances are I’m probably not gonna be polite. i cringe at that the thought of my writings just becoming that of a "internet tough guy who hides behind a computer"…fuck that shit. i will call it as i see, where and when i see it. perhaps it'll just be a rant over how i think if a guy cant fit his hands in his pockets due to his jeans then he should be hung. (what's next, high heels??)
the guyliner thing is probably just as bad. in any even, there it is for you people. since it is the first issue and i had to read you my semi disclaimer id like to share some things with you that have been rocking my world ( the new radiohead is just incredible proof how much computers have changed music. what was it a million something downloads after the first month? who sells a millions albums in a month nowadays??) hopefully more bigger bands will follow suit (as they already are) and release albums on their own and maybe everyone, bands and fans, just finally enjoy music knowing there isn’t some fat guy with a cigar hanging out his mouth (ala the guy on the dirty rotten filthy stinking rich warrant album) isn’t making bundles off deserving bands.
i did see semi pro last night and it was just incredible. a year from now that is gonna be the quote worthy movie of the year. one more thing i'd like to share is that currently i have a pretty healthy obsession with DAFT PUNK. quite possibly the best (and only) good thing to come out of france...besides the french fry.

TRAIN.
